Default Can I remove handheld OS from Win add/remove programs list?

Please Login to Remove!

I have two instances of "Blackberry v4.1.0 for the 8700 Series Wireless Handheld" on my "add/remove programs" list. Can I delete them?

I'm not referring to Desktop Manager which is also on there -- I don't want to delete that.

I would delete them then reinstall the correct OS that matches what is on your BB. The Desktop Manager needs the correct one installed.

As dkf747 stated you'll need at least the version that matches what is on your BB. If you don't leave that version installed then Desktop Manager won't recognize what software you have on your BB making it difficult to add/remove software from your BB.

I thought they were the same but one was 4.1.0.346 and the other was 4.1.0.351. I removed .346 because my handheld had .351.

Thanks.

I don't have any hh applications on my PC (anymore - removed when I was done upgrading) - nor did I install them for any of my 300+ users when they get a new device or become a new BB user

There's no need for it unless the person is going to add/remove apps on the device via USB or perform OS upgrades. Most users don't need it.
