for those of you who switched from the 7520 to the 7100i.

which berry did you perfer?

i am thinking of switching to the 7520 for a while. my 7100i was my first berry and i am curious as to why the 7520 still cost soo much more (with less memory and features) than the 7100.

my 7100i is still problematic, on my 3rd one now and still requires a reset about once a week for one thing or another.

I have used the 7100i for over a year, and now find it difficult to type on the larger keyboard models (I am the BES admin for our company, so train or help on all different models, and my first device was the 7510, then 7520).

Have you upgraded the OS on the 7100i to resolve the issues you're having?

You can go to www.nextel.com/blackberry to find the update (look for the software updates link on the right side of the page). You'll need to have the lastest version of Desktop Manger installed on your PC first, then download and run the BB OS upgrade, then use Desktop Manager to upgrade the device.

Not sure why the difference in price. Mine is company paid, and we pay the same for both models.

I just checked the prices on Nextel.com. HOLY CRAP. I wouldn't pay $319 for the 7520.

Wirelessly posted (Opera/8.01 (J2ME/MIDP; Opera Mini/3.0.6636/1558; en; U; ssr))

I have the 7105 and the 7520 and I love my 7520 a lot more. I love it because of the full keyboard and that it is so simple. Nextel is just trying to make their money, ebay and amazon have them way more cost effective.
