Please Login to Remove!

I have a 7100t with T-mobile and I want to send SMS overseas but it does not seem to work. My friends overseas do not get the messages.

Has anyone try it?

My current SMS Settings are:

Leave Msgs on Sim Card: No
Delivery Reports: On
Data Encoding: 7 bit
Service Center: +12063130004
Network to send over: GSM
--------------------------------
Cell Broadcasting Service On
(No CellBroadcast Channels)

Thanks

zontalk, I have the same SMS settings as you in my T-mobile blackberry 7290 and I can SMS to overseas. Silly question, perhaps, but are you SMS'ing to +34phonenumber?

Have you called your friend from your cell phone dialing the same way that you are SMS'ing?

EGottlieb: Yes I am using +34 before their number to SMS. I have not dialed...too expensive but I will give it a shot.

I think the issue may be at their end because I tried to SMS a dummy number and I got "Message expired by service" but when SMS a good number it looks good but they do not get it at their end.

Alternatively, I will try with different people and see if they get the text message

I have had the same issue with SMS to italy for the longest time.

i can receive them but cant reply or send them over there.

I do remember calling Tmobile CS and was told that italy wasn't "supported".in other words none of the different Cellular providers have support for receiving messages from tmobile.

It used to work whe i was with cingular, though.

hope this helps,
