Default Question about SMS & MMS

Please Login to Remove!

Hi all..
I just picked up a 7130e on Ebay and am using Verizon. My question is how come I can't send or reply to text messages (SMS, MMS). Now, I called Verizon and was told to contact the original owner and that the phone was probably connected to Blackberry Enterprise Server, and that they probably blocked it. I thought this was curious because I can receive texts. So I contacted the seller. He told me it was connected to BES, but that his IT guys said it shouldn't be a problem because they wiped the phone out before I bought it.
Besides all that, I love this phone! I'm really impressed with the quality and ease of use of this device. Can anyone help me with my dilema? Thanks in advance.

beat, I don't believe having the unit "wiped" always removes the IT policies sent from BES.

There are many threads on this board in that regard, many dealing with phones purchased as used, that have been on a prior BES setup. Someone with knowledge of how to do that will need to instruct you further.

Yes "wiping" it just removes user info.
There is a bounty of info on this site waiting for you to search it...

I knew something was up, because the option for SMS isn't in the drop down field when I click the trackwheel.
