I want to remove my keyboard from my old 8700 and use it with the new (refurb replacement)

The old is like the 8703 and the refurb i just got moves around.

I was reading the disassembly instructions... is it easy enough to do?

If you're careful it's not too bad. It's pretty easy to end up with more parts than you expect (e.g. the plate around the trackwheel can come off easily) so just keep track of everything.
