Default Will the 8800 read 2GB microSD's okay?

Please Login to Remove!

In preparation for the new 8800 next Wednesday... I wanted to order a microSD card online because I can get it so much cheaper. Does anyone know if there is any card size limit, or can it read a 2GB card as 2GB?

Thanks!

How much pressure did it required to insert the 4gb SD card in the MicroSD slot? I had to cut the edges of my SD card to get it to fit. Does anyone know why it keeps popping out?

I don't think you can buy that 4g micro card yet but I'd like to and would like to know if the 8800 will handle it.

I bet we will know just as soon as it is available. Do not know if RIM says only 2gb because that is the largest they made at the time or the 4gb card will use a different file system.

We will know soon as I know someone will buy and try. 2gb will be overkill for me. Don't use my BB for music!

2GB would be perfect for me. I want to be able to load some podcasts and things on to it.

Support for SDHC cards is just an update to the SD protocol - if the device doesn't support SDHC (4GB and above) at launch they will probably release a SW patch to do so.
