Question How do I transfer Opera Mini 3.0 from a PC to an 8700c?

Please Login to Remove!

I downloaded Opera Mini 3.0 to my desktop and couldn't figure how to transfer it to my 8700c. I use Desktop Manager 4.2 SP1. Do I need to use javaloader? Can I drag and drop them into a folder which would cause DM to update my 8700c? Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks

You need an OS installed on your PC for your device, and then the DM will let you run application loader, and you will have to point to the folder with the extracted files. If you have this OS - Cingular 4.1.0.529 then it should be on your PC.

I have Cingular OS 4.1.0.529 installed on my computer as well. As a side note, when I tried to install Vodafone Today, I had to use javaloader because when I put the .cod file in:

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\Shared\Loader Files\8700-v4.1.0.377_P2.0.0.152\Java

DM was not triggered to update. Am I using the appropriate folder?

These are the files I downloaded to my desktop for Opera Mini 3.0:
IM_2_WAP.alx
IM_2_WAP.cod
IM_2_BES.alx
IM_2_BES.cod
im_common.cod
im_tools.cod
im_transport.cod
image_manager.cod

Do you have a Cingular device and if not did you delete the vendor.xml file.

Yep, I have a 8700c with the Vendor.xml file deleted from my computer and replaced the blackberry.alx as well.
