Default 7100T Where's the Send SMS option??

Please Login to Remove!

Hi Guys,
Im new here so please go easy.
Now, i have gone through many many pages on the forums but no real answers yet. I have tried everything.
I have a T-Mobile 7100T which i believe is brand new and unlocked. Am using it in India. I have no problems at all with it for email, calling...but for some apparent reason i dont seem to have a compose SMS option anywhere.
I have wiped it twice, loaded the latest OS but still no luck.
I am using it because my Nokia E61 on BB connect cant download attachments more than 60kb or something..
Please could someone shed some light here. I have googled it, yahooed it and still no luck. The only options in messaging to compose are..PIN and email.

Much much obliged for any help.
Cheers

Usually underneath compose email and compose pin are the options to Place call and compose sms text. Can you place a call?

Hullo John and thank you for the response.
That's the strange part. It does everything else and it does it very well, its only the composing/sending SMS that seems to be missing. I have looked in every sub menu in every setting and option, but its not there. As I had mentioned earlier there are lots of SMSs in my messages inbox, so I presume that it should be something Operator / software related? I hope?

Thank you again

I managed to get the SMS / MMS option up and running.
It was the IT Policything that was messing it up.
Do a seach for "unlocking Blackberry " on the site and it worked brilliantly.

Now I am having a huge issue with applications and themes.

That is the part that made me not think about an IT policy. Your 7100t is obviously not brand new. As long as it's not a current IT policy (i.e. your company's IT policy) you're good to go.
