Is there any way of disabling content protection on the address book ONLY on 4.1, as with it enabled I'm unable to see caller names due to the fact that it takes too long before the caller name is decryted and displayed with the number? Many thanks.

Nope. Either content protection is turn on or off. There is no in between. Personally I think that the content protections is overkill. Just make sure you have a password enabled. if you loose your BlackBerry someone has only 10 attempts to unlock the device before everything is erased.
