Default Need help with 7130e. What desktop software?

Hello all

Question 1: Just formated my Computer and want to back up my phone. What is the latest Desktop software for the 7130e?

Desktop Software v4.2 SP1 (English only)????????????????

Question 2: What does this software do and is it part of the above file?

BlackBerry Device Manager v4.2 SP1 (English)

Just install Desktop Software v4.2 SP1 English only (unless you need other language support)

You will get everything you need. Device Manager is included in Desktop Software.

I downloaded this new version of Desktop Manager but can't download the new version to my phone. I still have 4.1.0.268 on my phone. When I went to application loader, it wouldn't let me load anything on my blackberry 7130e.
What can I do?

I have Verizon as my carrier, do they have a later device software than 4.1.0.268?

Gold... did you also download a new version of the your BB device OS? Just downloading a new version of the Desktop Manager does not get you anything new for your BB OS. That is a separate download.

Can you only get the device OS from the provider website? Because Verizon still has version 4.1 on there. I thought there was a later version out there but maybe I'm wrong. Where can I download the latest device OS for my 7130e?
