| Yeah-- same happened to me. I had the device in my hands, ready to purchase, and the store was ready to sell, but they had no idea what the price was supposed to be. They tried calling a bunch of different numbers, but with no luck. How in the world do you have phones that you're supposed to sell the next day in your store, but you don't know what to sell them for? Needless to say, I walked out of the door without an 8800. | | Offline

| I got mine for $399 without a contract. I don't know if it was because it was 1 day early and they goofed on the price, or if it's really $399 without a contract here in my area. | | Offline

| Went to Cingular Monday 19th, and bought two.
One for me, and one for a friend who could not get to the store.
Long story short, it ended up that he did not want it. So I thought I would put it on ebay just to see what happens. I rarely sell on ebay, usually just buy a few things that I cannot find elsewhere.
I listed the 8800 with four nice pictures. The unit as new in the box, then one of the front, the back and the side. I listed it with a "buy it now" price of $999.00 just to see what would happen.
It sold in 25 minutes! Unbelieveable! It never ceases to amaze me what people will do.
Just recieved the check this morning FedEx, so this guy is motivated. I will be shipping out his BB 8800 today.
As far as mine new 8800 concerned, it's a very nice unit and I'm taking a few days to evaluate it.
Cheers...

| Those with commercial interests in the 8800 will pay significantly more for them, as it's an investment in 3rd-party product development. | | Offline

Cheers... | I hope you cashed that check for real green money before you send out the BB. If you get a check, money order or cashiers check you need to wait at least 10 days for it to clear. Don't get scammed by the old fake money order trick. | | Offline
