I need a lot of Xanax figuring this thing out. Is there a way of setting the enabling bluetooth for our convience key? All i can get is to set up the bluetooth. Thanks and my proctologist called and they found my head!!!!

Yes, Did that but nothing.

When it notices the device as active the BB should auto pair.....

It does but when I go to set it up as my convience key it doesn't show bluetooth in the menu, only set up bluetooth.

I think the BT is just to set up new devices.... Once it's set and trusted the BB auto connects (or should) and that might be why it does this.....

I will delete it and repair it and see what I can do. I will be mad if I can't set it that way because i dont want the bluetooth always on.

Set the convenience key to "Manage Connections." That should give you what you want.

Does this allow you to manage the BT for on/off which is what I think the OP wanted.....

Manage connections does bring up a screen, it will work but a little diffrent from the 8700.

Actually when you do that it turns off your wireless, so no, it doesn't work that way.

I thought that was going to be the case but did not want to upset bollar....

I don't have or use BT..... So I have no way to confirm... I was hoping he/she was right and the issue had been fixed via OS update....

Simply scroll down to Bluetooth and untick the box. Leave Mobile Network ticked. As soon as you untick Bluetooth, BT will turn off.

The OP wants to turn it on / off with a simple convenience key.... I don't think that is possible..... But I stooooooopid so I regress from this thread...

You're too sensitive.

The "mobile connections" icon gives you direct access to turn on/off all of the wireless connections. Although it's not exactly what the OP would like, it is a two-click solution to turning on/off the BT or GSM radio.
