I posted before about my internet not working and now that problems fixed. Now I have another question. I had a sidekick before the blackberry and anyone will tell you the biggest quirk with a sidekick is AIM. T-Moble BB's support it but cingular doesnt*which is what i have*. I went to Download.com and downloaded VeriChat for free just so i can have aim. I obviously have the data plan so my question is, does verichat run thru SMS or Data? It appear to be data but im not quite sure. And if anyone has thoughts about verichat, let me know.

I understand Verichat uses data, not SMS.

I had Verichat installed on my Cingular 7290. It used data.

If I was someplace where SMS worked but there was no data service, like the Bahamas for example, I had no Verichat service.

Whenever I had GPRS it worked fine.

If you don't like Verichat...check out Yak-on. That's the one I use and it is strictly data as well.
