looks like they flipped the switch on at midnight eastern. $499 retail, $349 w/2 year, mail-in rebate of $50 (starting feb 21st)

Guessing that rebate doesn't apply to you either? Rebate states only for 1 or 2 year contracts.......

Cingular is also showing the 8800 as being a camera phone.

i tried to order one as an add on to an existing family plan, but it wouldn't let me select a data plan. oh well, it looks like i'll be hitting the same round of stores during the lunch hour tomorrow.
