Question BB 8700g on BES - bug or functionality?

Please Login to Remove!

I am new to this group and apologize if this question has been asked before.

The problem is the following (FYI - BES in Xchange server 2003 environment // BB 8700g):
When deleting an email message in the Outlook Inbox the email message is deleted as well on the BB - works fine. Moving an email message from the Outlook Inbox to a private folder will not cause any reaction on the BB, the email message stays where it is. The goal is to get identical emails on the BB as in the Outlook Inbox.

My question is now: is it possible via specific settings on the BES (or BB???) to make sure that this email message is deleted on the BB since it does not exist on the Xchange server any more? I understand that such an email has a specific status since it is not really deleted but moved (and moving is copying and subsequent deleting at the original location??). But considering the Outlook Inbox it is deleted even if it was moved only to a personal folder (??!!).

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Doesn't work for PST files. You'll also end up with orphan messages on the BB if you permanently delete mail too quickly.

BlackBerry Search Results

Enable Hard Deletes. This affects EVERYONE on the BES though.
