Default 7100i With Nextel

Please Login to Remove!

Room,
I have a 7100i through Nextel, First off I know...
Issue 1
MMS messages not working. I was able to send a message to Myself once activated. Then I got on the Enterprise Server throuh my Firm and it doesn't work now. They will go out but not in. I'm in National IT tech support and know that this is set to Faulse on our Bes Server for Disable MMS. Have any of you heard of this?

Issue 2
Incoming calls sometimes sent to Voicemail. This is the weird one. This happens even if i'm on the Enterprise server or not. My phone seems to be sending and receiving data all the time. Any ideas what may be accessing the network that much?

Issue 1: You need to have an SMS/MMS plan with Nextel to be able to send MMS messages. The device is capable of it, but Nextel doesn't seem to allow it by default.

Issue 2: Not sure, sorry.

1. SMS/MMS messaging may be blocked by an IT Policy on your company's BES. You will want to check with your IT Department.

2. Not sure either, sorry. Try a hard re-boot and re-register the device.

I checked with Nextel on this issue. I do have the SMS plan and the MMS portal. Which is weird. Thanks for you help!

Since i'm the one who supports the Blackberry in our Firm i have already checked this and it is set to False. We allow all SMS/MMS though the policy. Thanks!

Default Fix

So the phone part is fixed. It was some dumb setting with the call forwarding on there end. Makes you want to.... After hours on the phone with them the go oh! look at this. Man oh man. Anyways. The SMS/MMS issue is a known issue with Nextel. They are having so many issues with it right now that its unreal the amount of tickets that are logged for this request. I mean come now this is a major issue on your network. Work out the bugs a bit faster please. Just want you to all know!
