Does anyone have this problam?

I have a 8700 from cingular. Often i'll be using an application my screen will go black and the red light turns on. After about 4 seconds the screen comes back on saying and the device says its searching for the network. At first I just thought i was out of service, but it does it sometimes in areas were i know there is full service and keeps looping through on, off, on, off.

Haven't had this happen either. But have you tried a reset (take the battery out, wait a minute or two, and put bettery back)?
