Default Updating 8800 to new software not working

Please Login to Remove!

I'm trying to update my 8800 to the 109 version of software but nothing is happening.

I have the latest version of desktop manager installed (4.2.1). I don't have my 8800 connected.

I install the 109 update. Start desktop manager. Connect my 8800 and nothing happens.

I checked the about, and my 8800 is at 4.2.1.72.

What am I doing wrong? I had no problems updating my 8100 in the past, but the 8800 is giving me problems.

So, the new software that came out on Cingular's BB site, is the same as on my 8800?

I thought it was an update.

My bad.

All is not lost. You need this OS on your desktop if you are going to add third party apps like the new BBMaps. See GPS forum.

Thanks. I figured that out and now have all the themes. It took me a bit longer to get the BB maps. Now everything is working great.
