Default PIM application questionss

Please Login to Remove!

There is lots of information about the email/web side of the 8703e, but not about the PIM side. Before I buy one I would like to know if I can do repeating events and tasks, alarms on appointments and tasks and notes on tasks and appointments. I searched this forum and didn't come up with any answers, so anyone willing to help would be much appreciated.

Repeating calendar events - yes.

Recurring Tasks - yes

Alarms on appointments/calendar events and tasks - yes

Notes on tasks and appointments - yes

To some extent it emulates many of the features on those corresponding applications in MS Outlook, and syncs with Outlook very cleanly. That is not to say it is as feature rich as MS Outlook.

You might be interested in asking a friend or co-worker who has a BB if you might be allowed to test drive those applications to satisfy your mind, or at a retail store.

Thanks for the info. I was looking at some previous posts and there were some complaints about these issues and I wanted to make sure they had been addressed.

Feel free to ask anything else.

The only real complaint i have seen (and have personally) is when people are used to a feature-rich PIM like ACT or Goldmine. Outlook users seem to be happy with the PIM functionality as the BB replicates it well.

It falls short for people who use the other PIMs for a few reasons.
