Micro SD Card
Can somebody please summarize what I need to do to avoid inadvertent deletion of data on my SD card? I've read the Help section on media cards, but it's a little less than clear. Thanks.

Micro SD Card
When I reset my device the other day, it deleted everything on the card. From the Help material, it appears that there are rules that one needs to live by (opening the connection to the card, closing the connection to the card, etc) to avoid inadvertent deletion. For example, removing the battery cover can alter things if your settings aren't correct. I don't claim to understand this, and thus was hoping for some clarity from others. Thanks.

I'm not sure I follow your issues, either, but the best advice I can think of is to back up your device regularly. I keep copied of everything on my SD card, on my computer(s).

The important thing is to make sure that the BB is off before you remove the card. Alternatively, you can eject the card from options: advanced options: media card.
Either method is supposed to ensure that all files are closed, allowing you to remove the card safely.
Merely removing the battery cover will not cause you to lose files.

= Wiped or a battery-pull or what?
If wiping the device, always
remove the microSD prior.
