Default 8800 $124 at Amazon

Surprised no one posted this yet. If $375.00 is worth a 1-2 week wait, check it out. Also, what are some of the other large on-line discount dealers?

Worth noting that these are new activations. Amazon is typically one of the lowest places to get new phones, so the pricing is in line with what you'd expect from them.

Unusual that the 8800 is pretty widely available - both in stores and online. Usually for the first month of release they're tough to find.

Read the fine print. The Amazon deal for the Pearl (free for new 2 year contract signers) included a $250 instant rebate that requires you to keep the phone hooked up to Tmob for 6 months, otherwise they charge your cc back the $250. The other $50 rebate was mail in. So don't even think about selling it or unlocking it.

The problem with this offer is they don't currently have them in stock...but maybe next week?

Also, I think you can unlock it to use an additional SIM card as long as you maintain the Cingular service, without violating the Amazon discount.
