Welcome to BB Forums!

Did you just get this BB? Was it pre-owned? It sounds like it has an IT Policy on it disabling Bluetooth.

If you are on a corporate BlackBerry server, this may be done intentionally. If it is a personal BB, and not on a BES, you will have to remove the IT Policy.

Sounds like either you are on BES and your IT people have put a policy on the BB, or you've acquired a used BB with IT policy left over from previous owner. If the former, talk to you IT people; if the later, you will have to over-write the IT policy.

You didn't answer the questions... Is this a personal BB or on a BES?
Thanks.

I would ask your 'friend' to clarify what system he was using it on. Perhaps then we can help you.
