Problem with deleting emails on BB and Outlook

Can anyone help with this little problem...

At my desk i will work my way through emails: deleting them as required, however when i go to my blackberry the emails i have deleted are still on there (unopened or opened), so at times i find myself with some 50 or so unopened emails on the handset, all of which i have actually opened, and the majority of which i may have deleted.

Can someone help and tell me which of the setting i have incorrect and tell me how to resolve this.

i want anything i delete on my desktop to be deleted on my blackberry.

thanks,

a.

Wirelessly posted (8700g: BlackBerry8700/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

Unless you are on BES (Blackberry Enterprise Service) or BB Redirector, that is not going to happen. If you have a routine BIS setup, its not happening.

And if it's Outlook on BES you may need to hard delete the messages (shift-del)

All email is pulled to the RIM servers and then pushed to your BB at regular intervals. If you can delete it from the server before RIM gets it, then it won't show up on the BB. Just deleting from your outlook account won't do it.

I am not even sure if you set Outlook to delete once downloaded will even stop them.

This is only the case for BIS.
