Default Is there a way to quickly switch between profiles?

On the 8700 with OS v4.2 you could hold down the mute button, and it would switch between two profiles. When I hold down the mute button on the 8800, it goes to standby mode, which I don't even see the point of that.

Besides having the side key or hitting "f" is there a way to quickly switch between profiles like holding down the mute button?

OS 4.2 is not out for the 8700 yet.

For the public..... The pre-release had this feature and it was very very useful. I constantly switch between Vibrate/Normal throughout the day, and with my 8700 it was so easy to use this that I got used to it. I can't imagine why they would not put this on the 8800 as well.

I have not seen it. It was really a suretype feature. Not sure I have seen it on any qwerty.

I have my profiles mapped to the side button, all I have to do is push the button and select the profile I want.

Options >> Screen/ Keyboard >> Convenience Key Opens: Profiles

I have my side button for keylock, but I use "f" for profile switching. But it takes so many steps when I was used to just holding down a button. I didn't even have to take my phone out of my pocket or unlock it to switch profiles. It was great.

Oh well....

That's one of the most simplistic things on the Treo that I do miss. The little switch on the top of the phone that changed profiles from normal to silent. It's a real nice touch on a phone.
