Hey, just got a 8703e from Sprint and trying to get this to give me alerts when i have new Instant Messages come in. I have set up the Yahoo, Verichat, and Yak and made the changes to the profile so that there should be audio alerts.

When the screen is on, if an IM comes in (i have tried all of these), still get no audio alert (but do get a popup for some). And worse, when the screen goes dark (after the 30secs i have set) there is no alert when an IM comes in.

Can anyone help? Also, i feel like my old 7290 never went into dark mode, the screen was always dim but not off completely. Any way to change that setting on the 8703e?
