Default 8703e-Can You Diable Password For Blackberry?

Please Login to Remove!

I am a newbie so here we go. I have a 8703e and It is set up as Enterprise-work for a security company. The password to renter after 30 minutes is aggrevating, especially just to use the phone. Is there anyway to diable this feature? Help appreciated, thanks.

If you are on BES, my guess is that is a policy established by the company. Maybe talk to the admin?

It is a Blackberry enterprise server, typically used by companies to send emails to handhelds. If you go into Options --> Advanced Options --> Service books, and you see several entries that begin with desktop, then you are connected to a BES.

If that is the case, no way to get around it, and any attempts to can be seen by your company as a breach of security and could cost you your job or worse...

Now is that worth having to put in a password every 30 minutes?

Aww... now we can't ask the company's name which might be good to know when assessing security companies in the future. ;)

I'm so glad someone else noticed that. Second question would be "you know how to use an advanced device's forum but don't know if you're on BES?". Yikes.
