Default No Delete Module Option in Menu

Please Login to Remove!

If I recall correctly, I had the option of deleting modules under the Advanced Options - Applications - Modules menu on my 8700C. I do not have a delete option on my 8800. Am I just missing something obvious, or is this located somewhere else?

I am trying to delete an application (Opera Mini 3.0). I upgraded and the old version is still on the 8800, but it does not show up in the Application list, and it will not let me delete it in the Modules menu.

Default

On the Pearl I can't delete most modules, however, the Opera module it will allow me to delete. I don't know why the 8800 will not allow it.

Did you reboot the device?

Arrow To uninstall otherwise unremovable applications.

Sometimes 3rd Party apps are not written cleanly or updates are not clean, sometimes the OS itself is not able to manage partial / incorrect installs, upgrades or uninstalls, and sometimes you don't even know the reason why this happens!

But yes, its a very real problem for BlackBerry owners. A sample post discussing the same -
Cannot Uninstall/Delete certain software!!

To this end we did some research on it and have released the industry's first 'universal uninstaller' - Mobylo! SureWipe. The basic idea is that a BlackBerry owner should be able to try all the worlds shareware, demos and trials without having to worry about how to uninstall them later.

For your reference, here are some BBF Pages discussing the same. (A search for Surewipe will give you more) : Uninstalling yahoo messenger/ needs help

And, this is the official page for SureWipe:

Please feel free to follow up with any queries, we will be glad to assist you!

Thanks!
