I think you have to power down, then remove battery, then reverse the steps and power back up....search the forums...I know I have seen it somewhere before...

JDWallace: Huh?

OK, this has only been documented around 50 times, so here is #51.

Since the 7250 has v4 on it, go to Options / Security and select "Wipe Handheld". It will take a few minutes to wipe out all of the customer data.

Sure it does.

Go into the Security options, then General Security. CLICK THE WHEEL and select Wipe Handheld.

Here is a picture to help. I can't even tell you how man times I had people tell me the same thing. They are looking for it on the General Settings page instead of the pop up menu.

what about if the BB was hooked up to a corporate BES. Does doing this reset also change the IT settings and remove all the BES settings (meaning does it default the device to new?)

No. Here is how to get rid of BES settings (IF the BB is no longer attached to the BES.)

Remove IT Policy
