Default Foreign Prepaid SIM Card

Please Login to Remove!

Apologies if this has been answered already. I am a NOOB with a 8700g T-Mobile. When I travel with this to the UK next month, I want to purchase a prepaid T-mobile sim so I can make local calls cheaply. AM I correct that as long as I use a T-mobile sim, even a prepaid one, I can make and receive voice calls? I understand that I won't receive data while the UK sim is installed. Thanks.

Your 8700 must be unlocked in order to use a foreign SIM card in it. If it is unlocked, you will be able to make calls and text message.

There are many, many threads about unlocking a BlackBerry.
