I do. BlackBerry Device Manager v.
I'm using a Verizon BB 8703e. FWIW.

I just want to add a song or a picture for the my background to my BB. It's not working? Suggestions/Ideas?

You need 4.2 OS on the phone itself. 8703e only has 4.1 available. You can't transfer via media manager.

post them to a website and download them to the phone using the browser. Pics you can email to yourself, too.

FYI - Desktop Manager is not device software. Device software is the software that you load onto the Blackberry itself (aka handheld software).
