I have the latest software available from tmobile for my 8700. I use desktop redirector. What i noticed is that some of the emails that I read, still shown as unread after syncing with outlook. Though I did mark: device wins in settings. Does anyone have this issue?

mail/messages do not sync from outlook vs. bb, only calendar, notes, contacts, and tasks.

Mail only synchs with BES. Redirector is not a real good solution IMHO, since it requires that you leave your PC on all the time to get email.

For me BIS is the better option, since it pushes mail to my BB automatically and I can synch with Outlook when I am hooked up.

is BIS pricey?

Ok i understand that we need BES or BIS for it to work 100%. But the question is why with blackberry redirector software it was syncing for the last five years fine? and then all of the sudden, some emails were not marked as read today?

BIS is a freebie. Comes with the BB dataplan. Works great. Last a long time.

lol. yea. Mine has lasted as long as the bill is paid each month.
