Default Blackberry messenger problem on my 8800...

Please Login to Remove!

Hi guys. Nice phone you all.

I've been having problems with my BB messenger.

when i request through PIN, they accept but the messages doesn't go through.

I added my brother and a friend onto BB messenger, and they can see my comments, but when they reply, I can't receive it.

Thanks

No need to open another thread. I merged it with your thread from yesterday.

thank you John.

I just reread my first post, and I didn't know I posted the exact same problem. I was having a different problem earlier so that's why I posted another Thread.

sorry about that.

so.. Sirius you are receiving NO messages on BB Messenger... can you receive any messages directly from PIN or SMS, (not via messenger)?

I would test that first, to narrow down the problem.

Sirius if you are sending me BB Messenger messages, i am receiving and replying... apparently you are not getting the replys.

I wanted you let me ADD you, and try it that way... to see if you can receive from me. I just sent you a normal PIN message outside of BB Messenger.

Sirius, do you have TWO versions of BB Messenger loaded on your BB? I ask because when I set you up in BB Messenger on my phone, i send a message, it says it is delivered (small D by message), however you apparently are not getting the messages, and the notifier never moves to R (as in Read).

Go to Options, Advanced, Applications, and see if you might have two BB Messenger apps loaded. Highlight the application BlackBerry Messenger, and click to delete. Click and look at your modules also, see if more than one BB Messenger is loaded, delete one or both.

Delete both, reboot you BB, and download and install again.

At least do a battery pull and reboot your BB and see if it works.

If you're running the Cingular theme, it's in the APPLICATIONS folder.

it's not in there, the version i installed is 1.0.9

i just figured out that this version doesn't work for cingular. I'm getting the newest one right now since it's such a pain in the butt to find on blackberry's website. (I still can't even find it on their website)
