Default Uncaught exception bluetooth

Please Login to Remove!

Today when I got back in the car (2006 BMW 330i) after a short stop, the bluetooth connected then the car started searching again. It was hard to see what was going on while driving, but I could see there was a message about an uncaught exception.

After I got home, even when turning it off the bluetooth light was still flashing. I had to pull the battery to reset it.

I installed the patch to allow all the vendor themes this afternoon. It seemed to go fine with no problems. I'm only looking at the 8800 because of constant bluetooth problems with the Treo 750. I haven't seen this error before.

So two questions:

1.) Anyone with experience with the 8800 and BMW bluetooth? Until this happened it seemed to be working fine.
2.) In case the all vendor theme patch caused a problem, is there a way to go back? I did a backup before running the update. How do you go back? On other devices a hard reset does it. I know about the wipe handheld but I don't think that resets the OS does it? Is there anyway to reset the OS and then apply the backup?

Thanks for any answers.

I am having the identical problem with my z4. The first time I connected, everything seemed to work correctly, but now the Blackberry will connect for a few seconds, display the error, and then just kind of "freeze" with respect to any Bluetooth applications. I have to do the pull-the-battery-out thing as well in order to pair with any other device.

I had it happen twice. I basically deleted everything and reinstalled from the desktop manager to eliminate anything I might have messed up the first time. It hasn't happened again but it's only been a day since I reinstalled.

It seemed to happen to me if I let the car for a few minutes and then started back up. If this happens again, I think the 8800 will be gone. I need to depend on the bluetooth working.

I ended up reseting the device and reloading my data -- that seemed to do the trick. It worked all day.
