How do I bulk delete my G-mail messages,


in the same way I 'delete all prior messages' elsewhere

You can select many messages by highlighting the first messgae to be deleted and then hold down the NUM key while scrolling and highlighting others. Click the trackwheel to select delete or simply press the delete key. The "delete prior" command also works when you have a date header highlighted in messages.

Not in G-mail apparently the highlight merely moves with the wheel as normal

I've been through the settings and 'more' option in G-mail but nothing relevant there

Oh, are you talking about within your gmail application specifically,not within your BB messages folder?

I don't use gmail... So I don't know. Is there not a universal check box at the top of the mail list that would enable all mail to be checked and then deleted?

No theres nothing like that sadly,
I've just been deleting them off one by one which is a super way of spending my Saturday,

On a PC each conversation is preceded by a tick box
making it simple to pre tick the lot and select delete
oh well

Spent a couple of hours deleting hundreds of messages off BB
only to discover they'd disappeared into deleted (G-mail) on my PC!

Fished them all back out, and replaced them to inbox where they reside,




Cue an alert for each and every one on the handset

(muted it in the end)

there must be a way of, bulk deleting contents of BB,
I mean how would a few hundred of them affect its memory?

not sure why you cannot. I do it daily. Highlight the first message, then hold down shift key, scroll to the last message and let go of shift.. then hit the Pearl select delete - it gives me 3 options: Delete on Mailbox and Handheld, On Handheld, or Cancel. Actually just did it again right now while typing this.

Do you have your gmail Forwarded to your BB, or did you setup your BB account to retrieve it for you from gmail?

as for push/pull I have no idea how that works or how I'd go about finding out

but I'm slightly suprised

B; Apparently nobody else shares my problems.

Although to be fair,
I know i've seen the delete on handheld/PC option before but for the life of me I can't now seem to prompt it

Anyway in application I've killed Google services, they only offered
a search engine/mail and some useless mapware
I'm waiting to see what impact this has on BB use
