| Is anyone else's 8703e a turtle??? Please Login to Remove! Compared to my 7130e, this thing takes forever to reboot and acts as if the processor is slow. Thinking about exchanging it today after only having it for about 1 week and installing my apps that I had before on my 7130e. I've also cleared the logs. Anyone else experience this? | | Offline

| I just switched from 8700g t-mobile to 8703e sprint. Sprints AV-DO is twice as fast as t-mobile's Edge. How much MB are you running? I deleted all apps and langueges I'm not useing. I run gmail app, google maps, backgammon and Kla Glom and have around 40 mb. But in the end VERY FAST! | | Offline

| I have about 18 megs free, to me my 7130e was faster and I had a few more apps on there. The hourglass just takes forever and seems to almost freeze until I remove the battery after about 5 minutes with the hourglass just rotating. | | Offline

| I have no idea why your 8303 is so slow. But 18 mb is really low. But I'll tell you that this has always loaded pages faster " I always go to home page first which is google and then go to any bookmarks" if I just go to bookmarks it loads a lot slower. See if this works for you | | Offline

| My 8703e's startup time is never that slow. have you tried re-flashing the OS?
If that fails, I'd take it in for perhaps a warranty exchange. | | Offline

See if this works for you | The only problem i have is rebooting, it takes a few minutes and the desktop shows but the hourglass still appears for a few minutes. it's annoying but other than that, everything else works fine and fast. I just wanted to know if the rebooting is supposed to be this long on the 8703e cuz it never was on my 7130e. thanks for all the input. | | Offline

| Oh. Yeah rebooting takes a while on the 8700 series even when I had the 8700g with t-mobile. | | Offline

Wait, this is a blackberry, right? Why are you rebooting, and is this something you do daily? I go for months with my Verizon 8703e without rebooting. I frequently turn wireless on and off - but why would you need to reboot so often?

| I think the only thing that I have found to be slow on my 8703 is the reboot. That said, rebooting any BB takes a while. Nice that you really never have to do it (except with theme and other installs).
Compared to my 7250, it screams.

| I think in the six months I've had my bb I've done a redoot twice. That's the great thing about bb rather than palm's NO SYSTEM RESTARTS. | | Offline
