Default 8703e and Windows Vista Support

Please Login to Remove!

Does anyone have inforamation regarding mobile broadband access using the 8703e (Sprint) and a laptop running Windows Vista?

The Sprint PCS Connection Manager software is not ready for Vista yet but if you download the latest BB Desktop Manager software 4.2 SP1 it will work fine with a manual connection.

Vista doesn't recognize the unit for DUN connection with Vista yet. Known issue and RIM is working on it

I did this yesterday and it works. (You have to have Desktop Manager Running).
Directions on how to use as DIALUP on VISTA:

Thanks a lot!!! I have Sprint, it works just the same. However Sprint does not use name and password. Those fields must be left blank.

Coverage area is not an issue. I am in the NYC metro area.
