Default Email that won't die

Please Login to Remove!

I just upgraded my 8700 to the Blackberry software without a webclient. In the previous version I deleted mail from the webclient. Now I delete from the handheld.

My problem is this:

I have an email that I cannot delete from my handheld. It's kind of a ghost email -- it just won't disappear.

Is there anything to do?

Wirelessly posted (8700g: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.0) BlackBerry8700/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

First check your saved folder and make sure it also not saved there.

Then pull your battery and reboot the phone, see if it disappears.

Default email still hanging around

Thanks so much for the advice.....but i tried both suggestions and they did not work....any other ideas?

So when you select the email and choose delete does it ask if you want to delete or cancel?

Does the icon of the email look different?
Is the "ghost email" in the inbox or different folder?
How is this email synching with an email program on a BES or BIS or is POP?

The "email that won't die" is in the inbox -- it was a sent email (checked because it was sent).

It is not in any other box.

I am using the non-enterprise Blackberry 8700 with a POP3 account.

Oops...you asked one other thing:

When I select email and choose delete, it asks me to delete from mailbox and handheld, but it doesn't do it.

And the icon of the ghost email does not look different.

ok, so this is an email that YOU sent from your BB? I don't see why it won't delete, but you could delete your BB message service book and try to delete it then, and have the service book resent to your phone. I'd still suggest pulling the battery and rebooting because that often clears these illusive emails.
