Firstly, Stinsonddog, all your posts are legendary.
My service provider (O2 UK) did not provide the OS with the BB package and it's not available to download on their support site yet. They just released the 8800 last week and I bought it the day it came out so info on this product is weak at the moment.
Since I have no way of installing the OS (v220.127.116.11), there is no lbs.alx or 'C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\Shared....' folder where it should be located.
Is there carrier specific data on my current device that I will need for my BB to work? If not, I might just install the Cingular v .72 to get BB maps. To cliffr39:
The Blackberry website currently does not support the 8800 device and won't let me download it.
