Is there any way to pull photos off the device? I searched and saw that attaching it to emails is not possible until OS 4.2 is released. I was thinking that there might be a way grab them when it is connected to the PC via USB. But I could not see the device on the PC. Am I just stuck until 4.2 comes out? If so, I am boxing this up and sending it back to Verizon before my 15 day trial is up at the end of the week.

You can send pictures via MMS message to another cell phone. You can't grab them using the USB. Not being able to attach pictures via email, etc., it's one of those things that if it is a deal-killer for you having a BB, might should have been checked out thoroughly before getting the device, but at least you are in you trial period.

Good luck with it, if you keep it, you'll find it a great device otherwise.

Far as I know, the 8703e for VZW does not support MMS, so I can't even shoot it over to another cellphone.

you are correct, verizon doesn't support mms messaging on the 8703e. you are stuck. i would be singing verizon's praises from the hilltops if they did.

i never like to say negative things about blackberry, but you would think that they could figure out a way to send email attachments without using a BES. if they have truely mastered mobile email that is.

Oh well, back to verizon it goes. I can live without a camera, but my wife sends me alot of pictures of the kids which I download and keep on the phone for awhile, then I email them to myself and download them to my flash drive to save.

I don't know if this was the question, but I am able to get pictures on my 8703e by emailing them to my blackeberry.net email.

1. Send JPG attachments to your Blackberry.net account
2. Open Attachment
3. Save it to the Photo App on device.
4. View!

I just want to get the pics my wife sends me and I save on the device back off my device. I think Windows Mobile spoiled me....lol.

I've processed my exchange over the phone with VZW, so back to Windows Mobile I go. I really wanted to like my Blackberry, but 15 days (actually 11) becuase they count the shipping days against you just isn't long enough to truly gauge how well I can adjust to the missing features I was used to of with Windows Mobile.
