It's possibly a corrupted message database... Easiest way to fix this is to contact tech support (your service provider or TSupport) and ask them to assist... let them know that you may need this done, and your service provider may put you through to RIM support for help with that.
Make sure that you're near your PC with Desktop Manager installed; you'll likely be using it.
