Default Goodbye 7230...Hellooo 7100g

After several stressful weeks of dropped signals on my refurbished 7230, I decided to risk buying a used 7100g. Great choice. I am very happy with the device and can now use the 7230 as a paperweight.

Well I'm glad to hear that a move to an older model made you happy. Kinda weird, but as long as you're happy.

If you were to try an 8700, 8100 or 8800 you would make the 7100 a paperweight too. Worst BB I ever had. Liked my 7280 better. See if you can find an 8700 cheap now since they are being discounted.

I thought about holding out for a brand new device like the ones mentioned above but didn't really have another 150.00 to put toward it.

The 7230 does not have the good-quality GSM850 band.

If you want a device that looks like 7230 but has better reception, get the 7280 or 7290. (latter is better). While 8700 and 8800 are more interesting devices, it bears worth noting that 7230 has poor reception because the missing 850Mhz frequency band, and that other 72XX devices such as 7280 and 7290, solves this issue just as well.
