I have a 7100i with telus (canada) and was wondering if the os for nextel will work also do i have to install blackberry manger to upgrade i have bes at the office can i send this upgrade ota?

If i can;t do i just install desktop manager at home backup handheld and then install the updated os

Yes, you can use the Nextel OS on your Telus device. No, it can not be installed OTA.

Just install the software to your PC, delete the vendor.xml file, and finally install the OS to your handheld using application launcher (C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader\Loader.exe). You do not need to upgrade or even install Desktop Manager. After you upgrade you need to reactivate your BlackBerry to the BES server.

ok so do i save the software on my server under application, and will the software effect any other blackberry on the server?

HUH? I am confused now. I thought you were wanting to upgrade the OS on your BlackBerry. That has nothing to do with the server.

Just do it at home and make sure you download and install the new OS and then search for and then delete the vendor.xml file from your computer. Open DM and it will say there is an update for your OS follow the prompts.
