Default Force Name & Company to show in Call Log/Incoming Calls

Please Login to Remove!

As title says, I'd like to get my message log, or more importantly, incoming calls to show the name of the person and the company they are with. Is either possible?

Thanks

Make sure the contacts are in your BlackBerry address book. new calls should show who is calling and record that in the call log.

Like I said. It will show the name of the person, or if the contact has no name, the company. I'd like it to show BOTH. Is it possible to show the person's name, with their company for incoming calls?

Nope, not possible with options provided on the device. You could rework how you have the entries entered into the address book to get the results you want. Put the persons first and last names in the first name field. Put the company name in the last name field. When you get a call it should show you everything you want. Not the greatest solution, but it works.

Here is an example:

Yes, but with 2000 contacts it isn't practical to change them all around. Is it possible to write an app to do this? If so, is anyone willing?

For enough $$, anything's possible... Custom coding's pretty pricey though. You can try exporting to CSV, using Excel to manipulate the columns and then re-import.

I agree with you. $$ talks

Plus, it might be one-time deal to change all 2000 contacts and re-import them.

By the way, does anyone know if BB contact list has a cap limit?
