Default Bis/bes

Hey All....

Quick question...

Is the software on the BB the same for BIS and BES? If so, what differentiates the two systems... I have a BES and wifey has a BIS, but they are on different providers....

If they are the same, does the BB just see the BIS platform as a BES, if you see what I mean!

Thanks

Simon

I am confused about the question.

BES is *usually* used by businesses (company email) and BIS is used by consumers (personal email)

Hi,

My thoughts are that on the download site, there is new firmware for the Vodafine UK 8700v.... However, they do BIS and BES... I don't want to load it and mine become a BIS unit! How do I know that it is BES software, or is there some other way that determines this!

Thanks

Simon

BES is used for corporate email (exxhange, etc.), BIS is used for your personal email and you set it up on your providers website. You can have both at the same time, with BIS you can setup (with most providers) up to 10 personal accounts.

If I understand the question right, the OS is the same for both BES and BIS...
