Question 8800 availability in the UK - all networks?

Please Login to Remove!

I've been frequently contacting T-Mobile UK the last few days as I was told the 8800 would be available to business customers as of today; unfortunately, that was supposedly what they were expecting and several different reps claim that the status is "sometime this month" (March 2007).

Vodafone has had the 8800 for several weeks now; I know as I've had the 8800 in my hands in several stores as well as seeing it on their website.

Other UK carriers: I don't know.

Anyone else?

[If this is for some reason an inappropriate or misplaced thread, please accept my apologies.]

That's great to know, thanks. That will be helpful for ensuing negotiations. Vodafone business quoted me a free 8800 with contract as well. The T-Mobile business sales rep has ironed out a full contract with me after multiple discussions and quoted me for a price for everything except for the BB 8800 price. Apparently, that's still not settled yet. He claimed they would have them available today for shipping, but either things are delayed or he was bluffing.

Default T-Mobile 8800 in UK "week of 19 March"

Thanks again, anjasola! Great info. Once I get my deal sorted, I'll post it.

I'm now being told T-Mobile UK will have the 8800 "in the week of 19 March". Either Vodafone and Orange signed a 30-day exclusivity deal, or T-Mobile is just lagging in getting these to market for some reason; maybe the T-Mobile UK version will be a fusion-powered, 5G, Google-in-my-pocket nano-Cray. I'm guessing lagging, as O2 now also carries the 8800.

[BTW, it seems I'm the only bloke in the UK screaming for this thing, at least on T-Mobile. Screaming into the wilderness again. Ho hum. Apologies for foaming at the mouth, I'm losing it with these empty hands. Watch this ]
