I just got a a BB7100t and after tons of research I found out it is not possible to set up WAP on the BB without a Blackberry plan. So for the sake of fun I called fido(canada) and signed up for the "Blackberry Connect" Plan. For $40 month it is really too expensive, so I think i will get rid of it...

Now the question is...

1. Since I have the service books, is there any way of runnings WAP applications (data applications like a opera mini which do not use BES) after I have called up Fido and told them to remove the Blackberry service?

2. Will the service books dissapear after Fido removes me from their system as a BB suscriber?

3. Where will i place the APN and what softwares will I be able to use?

Did you get your BB7100 working on Fido with the BB connect while you were signed up for the plan?? I've got a P990 that I would like to use the BBC with Fido. Thanks!

Yup, BB Connect worked fine. The broweser, the email (which you can setup from a website whose link is provided on the fido BB connect website). THe moment i called them and asked to set it up it worked. Its just that its $40/month for the cheapest option. So after testing it out (and im sad that i wont be able to get email on my BB) i took the service off. It was awesome while it lasted LOL
