I was wondering if any of the forumites who bought their 8700g's through Venicom/UShopWireless last spring have had issues with rebates being cancelled or denied for questionable reasons?

A good friend of mine ordered hers right before release (about a day before I ordered mine), sent the rebates in as required, and received two letters today stating that the rebates were denied because (in the case of one) she didn't send in the right month's T-Mobile bill and (in the case of the other) she didn't send in a bill at all. She unfortunately didn't make copies, but she's a very meticulous lady and wouldn't have made such obvious errors. Venicom also stated that no resubmissions would be accepted, which appears to be an attempt close the door on any appeals. She's actually ahead of me, because I haven't heard anything from them.

If anyone has experienced similar issues, please reply to the the thread, or send me a PM. I'd appreciate your feedback and suggestions.

I've not heard anything either and am overdue my rebates

The only contact numbers I have for them are those that appear on their website.

Venicom is running a con game. They commit to pay more in rebates than they make from Tmo commissions. So, they don't pay the rebates. You need to complain but not to Venicom. Complain to TMobile, the Better Business Bureau (they already have 13 complaints in a year), the Attorney General, and the FCC. This is fraud!!!. They will hold your rebate form until the last minute, then send it back as a reject for any number of reasons. Don't get suckered in by the "free" promo-there ain't no free lunch.

Mine just show "pending"

I'm still waiting for my rebates - they are 8 weeks over due on the 1st one.
They haven't responded to any of my requests or emails over the past month. I tried to be nice on the first few emails, but if I don't hear back from them by next week, it's time to start with the threats (to file complaints with the DA)

I have full copies of EVERYTHING I sent in. I also trippled checked to make sure I sent in exactly the right documents and filled in every line/box requested, so they have no legitimate reason to deny my rebates. (maybe that's why they are still listed as pending.
I've been wanting to make a small change to my account, but I've been waiting until they send me my rebates, so they don't have an excuss to deny them.

If anyone has a direct phone number for the rebates it would save me some time.

After 3 or 4 emails they finally approved my 1st rebate 4 months after they recieved it.

Still waiting for the 2nd rebate that is already a couple weeks over due for approval.

TMobile is very clear in their dealer agreements that any rebates offered must be honored. Rumor has it that Venicom has been warned about their rebate practices. Keep us posted Nutzo but you should lodge complaints with tmo, bbb, and az atty general.

Finally recieved my rebates.

I called into the customer service line & they gave me the run-around that the rebate would be paid soon, even though I politly explained that 14 weeks is WAY past the 6-8 weeks stated on the form.

A week after I called, I received 3 checks in the mail, all in the same envelope & sequentially numbered. They FINNALY paid the rest of my rebates

I was suppose to receive a $75 check for month 5, a $25 check for month 6, and a $50 AM EX gift card for month 6. Instead of the gift card they sent a check, but thats fine with me.
