In January I upgraded my 7250 to the 8703. I have yet to speak with anyone who can tell my why my device will not sych with my Outlook contacts and calendar. When updating the address book, it stops at contact #302 and gives me an "Unable to write data" error. Never did I experience this with my 7250. Here's the strangest thing: when I delete a contact on my BlackBerry, it somehow REAPPEARS when I try to sync it with outlook (this contact wasn't even entered in my outlook!). I know this sounds like an episode of the Twilight Zone but I have experience numerous irregularities such as this while trying to sync. I've tried to uninstall and reinstall my BB software, and have even uninstalled and reinstalled my outlook program. Nothing works.
In a nutshell, the first time I tried to sync it did transfer contacts from Outlook to my device, but only a certain number of them. I have been on the phone with about 4 different tech support specialists for a combined total of about 3 hours and was not able to solve the problem. I have resorted to asking for an entirely new device.
HAS ANYONE EXPERIENCED THIS??? THANKS!!!

Go to you desktop manager and look at the error log in the sync find that record 302 and I bet you have some strange data or something different in the first, last or company name field. Fix it in outlook and try syncing again.

Do you absolutely need to have first, last and company name? Why is this?
With my old blackberry it did not require me to have such detailed entries. Some of these contact are not business related therefore do not have a company.
Frustrating when trying to enter personal contacts.

no it is not necessary to have all of those fields. when i upgraded mine i had a similar problem and was able to determine that one contact was causing the problem. i opened the contact ,retyped the name, and saved it and was able to sync. i have no idea why i had to do this but it worked for me.
