Default Software recommendation?

I need some software to view word and excel docs. I don't need to manipulate them in any way, just view them. Is eoffice my only choice or is there a simpler and less expensive alternative?

Just to view, not edit, try BeamBerry or Repligo. I've used both and they are reliable for that purpose. Look in the Aftermarket Software forum on this board's main page for more info on both, or search in that forum.

we will release MasterDoc shortly (matter of 1-2 days). It will allow you to view these files and unlikely to other products on the market it will be a license not a subscription what means it will be much cheaper
