Default Software recommendation?

I need some software to view word and excel docs. I don't need to manipulate them in any way, just view them. Is eoffice my only choice or is there a simpler and less expensive alternative?
Thanks
Gary

Just to view, not edit, try BeamBerry or Repligo. I've used both and they are reliable for that purpose. Look in the Aftermarket Software forum on this board's main page for more info on both, or search in that forum.

Good luck.

we will release MasterDoc shortly (matter of 1-2 days). It will allow you to view these files and unlikely to other products on the market it will be a license not a subscription what means it will be much cheaper

Well, their viewers are server based... One have to think carefully before implementing such applications if any info in the docs which is secure

Danbra,
I still plan to give Masterdoc a look. Will you be posting here when it's available?
