Hi, I'm new here, so bare with me.

I was recently in the states visiting my cousin, who owns a Palm One Treo 650, and she was using Google Maps as a form of GPS. I was wondering, since i havent taken delivery of my 8700 yet, is this possible, and if so, how well does it work compared to the usefullness of the Treo's touchscreen?

Thanks.
Wil

I use it on my 8700c and it's wonderful. Doesn't have the magic GPS "you are hear" feature, but then I never get lost. I use it to find places when I'm in other parts (or out ) of town like restaurants or banks. Can't comapre to the Treo, but once you learn the few keystrokes, it's a snap.

Newer BB models 8703e, 8100, 8800 soon to be released 8300 have native GPS on board just need to install software to work with it. Note some carrier disable the GPS functionality on devices Verizon comes to mind as one.
